follow your <3 dont worry about the family if its meant to be theyll adjust & if not youll all just laugh about it one day...if you have the opporunity just take it now...it might not be there later =) good luck just do what makes you both happy

When you say that "we are like family", do you mean she is your relative (e.g.cousin) or is she a close friend?
There's nothing weird about going out with a girl who is your close friend. If you have feelings/ a crush on your close female friend, just go out with her.It's great that she knows you pretty well already. Who cares what your parents and siblings think!

don't worry about what your family thinks, because if you don't go for it with her just because of that then your going to regret it later. As long as you guys aren't actually family though... lol
