For metal Bilco doors?

There are a few rust spots starting to appear. Do we have to sand off the old paint or can we just buy the Krylon spray paint for metal and spray right over the old stuff?

    you should sand them down but you can use a rust proofing primer or cold galvanizing paint before you spray them with Krylon, just remember that if you just prime and paint they will continue to rust just more slowly

    if this is a garage door most of them have a life time no rust warrenty
