Could We Please Put Aside Political Diffs For A Moment?

~~~ Happy Nowruz!! ~~~
http://www.crystalinks.com/noruz.html
Nowruz is the traditional Iranian festival of spring which starts at the exact moment of the vernal equinox, commencing the start of the spring. It is considered as the start of the New Year among Iranians. The name comes from Avestan meaning "new day/daylight". Noruz is celebrated March 20/21 each year, at the time the sun enters Aries.
Noruz has been celebrated for at least 3,000 years and is deeply rooted in the rituals and traditions of the Zoroastrian religion. Today the festival of Noruz is celebrated in Iran, Iraq, India, Afghanistan, Tajikestan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
To Persian friends and all who celebrate the excitement and anticipation of Springtime with its promise of new beginnings...
~~~ Happy Nowruz Y'all!! ~~~

Update:

lol... just cover your eyes 'Lol sup' while ImperiousRex and I dance nekkid in the moonlight :)

The question was... Could We Please Put Aside Political Diffs For A Moment? With the word "Please", it's even a polite question!

Update 2:

FQH5256... it's unfair to define a culture by the actions of one nasty person. Perhaps the German holiday of Fasching would be more to your liking though... "The traditional act of a woman being able to cut a man's tie is supposed to be symbolic of castration,"

Update 3:

Quirk... TY, Peace & Blessings to you!

I googled Sabzi Polo and it looks delicious! The recipe I found calls for dill and cilantro, two of my favorite spices!

    I hope so; I do very much; I hope Iranian ancient culture (which is totally different with the political stand) can make a difference. may best happen to those who celebrate Norouz and those who are inspired by the change of seasons.

    Thank you for sharing that. I know many who answer will take the opportunity to take cheap shots at another culture but I think you're doing something really important with this. If we all understood more about one another's cultures, if we all shared national days and festivals in this way there would be a lot less objectifying of other cultures and people who look or live differently from us.It might bring a modicum of understanding...it may even lead to friendship between the diverse peoples of the world. What a wonderful thought.

    In the same way that it seems the whole world feels Irish on St Patricks Day, promoting this sort of celebration will help many of us to feel that we know something of the Middle east which is positive and beautiful.When so much of what we hear in our mainstream media is violent, tragic and ugly.

    It sounds like a great Festival and I would really love to share it with you.

    Have fun my Iranian friend! I have no clue what that celebration is but if it makes us set aside differences for a moment this is a very good thing!

    Happy Nowruz

    Let it become clear to all that those who lead us are the globalist elites who are the enemy -- not the peoples from other lands -- the ones right here

    Happy new year

    P.S. For the nitwit that thought it would be funny to give everyone a thumbs down, you are doing nothing but proving your immaturity, get a clue.
