...correct me if i'm wrong, but i want to see a sparkle in your eyes, that you finally can grasp something close to God :)

You sure don't understand the atheist point of view, do you?

The atheist certainly can appreciate the vast complexity of life, for instance the amazing Krebs acid cycle, without accepting the ridiculous god of Christianity.

How is life proof of God's existence?

I think that most of the people who see things as being too complex, do so because they're looking down on nature from above.

When one looks up at nature from underneath, it all becomes a line of simple forms that combine in simple ways. The only factor that was needed to create so much diversity was time, and life's had more than 3 billion years on this planet to play with its blocks.

No. Read my answer here, life does not need a creator.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArS6E...

Not to say it can't also be created by humans.

Things are complex be cause of the laws that govern them. Electromagnetism constantly pulls and pushes matter into complex patterns. The strong force pulls hadrons together in a disorganized fashion. Electromagnetism pulls leptons to the hadrons to form atoms. Atoms collide and fuse to form all noncatalyzed molecules. The fundamental particles don't decide to do this, the virtual particles (gluon, photons, Z0, W+, & W-) appear, push or pull, then disappear because they are scripted to do so. This is how life first formed. The thing about polynucleotides is hat they can manipulate other molecules. They can form proteins which can do many jobs. No creator needed.

No. There are many life forms that begin spontaneously. It doesn't mean they are any less wonderful, or that we should minimise the beauties and wonders of nature. But we don't necessarily have to infer that they were 'caused' or 'manufactured' by a being of supernatural origin.

It is a fact that the human brain has an area that, among other functions, pre-programs some people to have a need for religion and a belief in some sort of god.

A lot of 'atheists' just don't have strong enough views either way. Many are just people who like to keep their minds open to new discoveries.

Yiou can never have proof that GOD exists because to do so one needs to set laborotary conditions to find that proof. In such a case that would be impossible.

However there is plenty of "evidence" of a super power whether called God or the great mystery. There is also evidence that there is a dimention in which we enter our earthly life has expired. But alas all we hear is the we want PROOF.

What does surprise me is the number of atheists the return to relegion in the late eveving of their life.

I don't see how you connect life with some anthropomorphic idea of a deity. Forgive me for saying but unless you presume the deity or have a prior idea of a deity, in this day and age where science has shown actual explanations, no such connection or assertion would be made. In the bronze age asserting some deity is the best we had as an explanation.

  • You're wrong. If you do see a sparkle in my eyes it is because I am currently on my 12th shot of espresso.

    Uh, no.

    I meditate often, btw.

But let's say I actually was gullible enough to say, sure maybe... how would that point to any of the thousands of gods humans have worshiped? How do you leap from, I think there is a god because.... to, that god is the only god? Human existence surely doesn't give any specific clues.

You are mistaken. Life is not proof of god's existence. It isn't even evidence.

Life is evidence of life. How do you figure life is related to your god?

Let me provide you with an analogous example: Your fingernail is evidence of the existence of the invisible pink unicorn.

    Source(s): An atheist perspective.

    Which god, specifically?

You mean you'd like me to forget the real explanations and believe in magical one?

Nature is complex. Perfect design would be extremely simple.

How stupid would a designer have to be to design human eyes with a blind spot on purpose?
