good suggestions for a brunch?

I planned to organise a brunch with some friends on sunday and I was wondering if anybody could offer some suggestions on some food that I could serve. Since I was planning to bake different breads I would be wanting to serve stuff that could be eaten with the bread.

so what suggestions can you bring to the party

Have your friends bring their favorite lunch meats. You should supply the appropriate condiments. Of course fresh brewed coffee. Decaf as an option? Someone suggested a great salad idea already. Cheese on the side and extra virgin olive oil for dipping fresh bread. Provide an extra sandwich plate for the olive oil. With a simple brunch presentation is important. Romaine lettuce and tomatoes for the sandwiches. Thin sliced Vidalia onions. If spring hasn’t hit by you yet and it is wintry, serve soup. Vegetarian minestrone by the cup and sandwich. Your guest will go away warm and satisfied. You will have minimal mess.

    To bad we aren't neighbors.

Bacon & Cheese Fritatta (start on stove, finish in oven)

Sausage & Egg Casserole (assemble night before, bake off that morning)

Smoothies (just make a big blender full of them, using frozen fruit and lowfat yogurt or milk)

Big Fruit Salad, w/ all sorts of fresh fruit.... if too much prep work, offer wedges of ripe cantaloupe and honeydew

I agree with Allison on the salmon but, I would include different cheeses, ham, scrambled eggs, preserves, chocolate spread, almond spread, real butter, fruit salad (as Allison suggested), cream cheese, memosas, juice, water and lemon, coffee, a variety of teas, and capacinos..

These will highlight your bread creations:

Homemade Jams, Flavored butters, Deli sliced cold cuts like salami's and mortadella, scrambled eggs (they keep well on a buffet), Lox, cheese slices, fresh fruit, bloody mary's and lots of artisan coffee.

If you feel adventurous, pickled herring and blood sausage.

how about, fresh fruit with a cream cheese, marshmallow dip, fresh vegetables with a dill dip, an egg bake dish, several meats and cheeses to go with your delicious breads. maybe some sweet rolls, some bacon and some sausages, some french toast sticks with maple syrup, fried potatoes with fresh chives,
