Scratched floorboards?

I know it was a stupid thing to do but i pushed a heavy set of drawers up the hall to a bedroom & there are scratch marks on the floorboards.

Any ideas of how to at least "disguise" the scratches would be greatly appreciated!

    Ditto on Cheez

Shoe polish on the stains, or a rug are two more suggestions.

If you go to the paint store to get some stain, take a sample of the wood if one exists.

Because it is a floor any temporary fix like a wax pencil (color to match) will likely wear off soon. You might wish to consider trying to get a gel stain or a regular stain to blend and match. This will at best make the scratch not stand out too much.

The only way to completely get rid of the scratch would be to refinish the floor, In other words sand and re-stain and refinish the floor.
