Darn pee sticks! Here we go again.?

So, this is the 3rd, I repeat 3rd Q I've posted this morning. lol I had a faint + this morning using FMU and the + is still there and a lil darker now. I went a few min ago and bought a first response gold digital Yes or NO test. Well, I didn't even really have to pee but as soon as I got home, guess what I did? Yep, peed on it and it said NO. A huge honkin NO. Is there still hope with my pretty lil faint + this morning? Did my urine just not have enough time build up hgc? Im doing the other digital test tomorrow with FMU... uhhh...

It does sound like you need to test again tomorrow using FMU. Positives are pretty much that, positive! (no matter how light). However, don't look at a test after the 10 minutes (or whatever the test says), no matter how tempting!. They are not accurate after that.

I bet you just didn't have enough pregnancy hormone built up the second time.

I'd say based on the faint positive, I would definitely test again tomorrow! If there is another faint (or not so faint) positive, then yay!

    Congrats!

I would already say congrats b/c a positive is usually a positive...false negatives are more common, but you know the second time you peed it might of just not had enough built up. They say first morning urine because you havent peed in at least 4 hours so it builds up...but if you want to test again today, just try to not go to the bathroom in 4 hours! It would be the same I heard as just using your first morning urine. But either way, congrats!! (Or you could go to a patient first type walk in clinic and get a blood test and get your results in 15 minutes) Not only will they be more accurate, you wouldnt have to wait until tomorrow!

I had the same thing happen to me. Unfortunately I wasn't pg. But, it could be possible that you are and the hcg hasn't built back up in your urine since the FMU was positive. You can take another test in the morning, but it would be best to wait a week and see when the hcg will show up better. I have spent so much money on pg tests, its ridiculous! lol If you take one in the morning and its positive and want to take another in the afternoon, dont drink or urinate for 4 hours before you do it and the test should be more accurate. Good luck to you and hope this helps!

I don't like the +/- tests. I got a very faint positive on one last time I was pregnant. I took two and got a void on one and the faint positive on the other that looked like the control line bleeding out onto the test line.

You didn't have enough hcg for the digital.

Go out and get the ll tests and test with your first morning's urine.

  • Well since it is generally better to test in the morning, I would say the first one is accurate. You don't normally get a false positive. I would definitely wait until the morning and take the other test to see what it says. Good luck and lots of baby dust. :)

The best way is always the first urine in the morning, catch it in a cup and dip it in. Make sure you are soaking the test strip too. If you are still unsure, go get a blood test, it is accurate.
