Should I pay this out-of-state parking ticket?

I am a PA resident who was on a one-day trip to Columbus, OH. I got a $25 parking ticket at a meter, which had a 10-day pay period. It is now $40 according to their web site. What will happen if I take no action on this ticket? Also, do I have a chance at getting it knocked back down to $25?

If you do not pay the ticket it will continue to incur penalties. Eventually if they feel they cannot collect it will get turned over to a collection agency. They will ding your credit reports as a charge off.

It is just not worth it to simply not pay the $40.00 bucks.

Be smart and pay the ticket and let your mind forget about it.

You will not get it bumped back down to 25, they are charging you extra for not paying on time. Chances are if you wait another month, it will be even more, and even more. Now, you don't have to pay it, but if you ever plan on visiting there again, I would advise it. My father didn't pay a ticket in a state, and never got in trouble, but if he ever got pulled over down there he would be sent to jail most likely.

I suggest just paying it off. Forty dollars is not alot, and it;s nice to have a clean record, never know when you'll need it.

Pay the ticket it will only continue to increase and eventually a warrant will be issued. Bad news if you travel back to Ohio often, it's not worth the hassle.

You cannot get it knocked down. Some states, though I don't know about yours, have reciprocal agreements with other states that give them the right to suspend your drivers license if you don't pay it. They can for sure issue an arrest warrant and if you get pulled over in Ohio, you will be arrested.

You won't be able to renew your DL or your car REG until you pay it.....the longer you wait the more it will cost...........

    I had a 75 dollar ticket that went to 425 dollars.....ouch!
