Can I use Soothing Care Monistat Itch Relief Cream inside my vagina?

creams have NEVER worked for me. the only thing i've found that works to take care of the itch is monistat itch relieving wipes. they are individually wrapped premoistened wipes that you can use all over your hot pocket. i've wiped them all up in there and was fine. go back and get them!

I bought it because I have some irritation on the inside of my vagina lips. I figured since Monistat makes it that I could use it there, but when I got home I realized it says for external use only. Can I use it down there?

Generally it's understood that anything you use topically on your vaginal area, that some would probably get inside anyway. I see no harm in applying the monistat to just inside your vagina opening, but I wouldn't apply it with a q-tip way in there or anything, What they mean is that you can't ingest the stuff (duh,lol). Always play it safe and call your OB's nurse to ask.

FYI, what also is effective is using plain yogurt. Gross as it sounds, it is an effective treatment for yeast infections. The good bacteria in plain yogurt (must be plain) do wonders in clearing out the yeast in these areas. Eat a serving of plain yogurt mixed with fruit or honey (or both!) daily while treating your yeast infection will only help.

Now i'm no doctor but external only means outside the body. Anything that says external means if used internally it could develop a problem. Go and buy VagiSil Or VagiCream or VagiClear or something like that.
