CHAINLIGHTNIN: I believe the question was to provide EVIDENCE that astrology doesn't work. Your arguments of your opinions and stretching of the truth provide no real proof of why you believe it doesn't work. Nor does it give your basis of education.

What he has shown us is proof and facts. What facts do you have to back up your *opinions*? As far as I'm concerned, you've only provided criticisms.

Personalities and events in relation to the planets is seen by documented birth time and shown by OBSERVATION OF THE PERSON'S BEHAVIOR AND LIFE EVENTS! This is proof even when the science is unproven. The earth was once known as flat. and your a dictator that was dropped on his head as a child. Your rules don't apply to yourself.

He uses celebrities because they are known by a large amount of people. What use would it be to use a subject that he only knew and prove how astrology is proven with them? NO ONE WOULD KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND COULDN'T KNOW THE BEHAVIOR OF A STRANGER!!!!

The birth information and behavior/life events of a celebrity are easily available making them easier to observe. This doesn't mean they're the only ones he studies.

But say noone knew how many seconds were in a minute..you could fool anyone it was a certain time for a very longtime..

Which is why an astrology study of famous celebrities cannot be compared to a broken clock.. Because i'm sure the case is on those famous..because people like you (chainlightning) wouldn't believe it if it was a study of close friends and people noone knows....

The skeptics iron clad circular logic at work again: when it works it's coincidence, or the sample is too small or the sample doesn't include the right things, like non celebrities (do celebrities and non-celebrities die differently?) or the number of tests aren't enough, or the tests don't exist, or whatever other excuse they can dream up. When it doesn't work, even once, it's proof positive that astrology is bunk. That way anything they want to believe is true and anything they don't want to believe is false. Perfect.

I found your study about lady Diana very interesting ; and yes astrology is Very accurate ; about Natasha Richardsen at her death Pluto was squaring her jupiter ; I didn't check the other squares ; but I know its really bad when PLuto is squaring Jupiter [ ONe of my friend has actually Pluto squaring her Jupiter ; they just found out she has a lung cancer ; she had never smoke in her life ] Coincidence for those who will always denies the accuracy of astrology

Sure. You use celebrities not "regular" people, seek out the ones that fit (the more famous the better) and ignore the vast majority that do not. Then if it's remotely close, make it "fit". Getting one out of one hundred does not make good evidence.

Edit: Put up evidence that anyone can validate, test and retest. Better evidence will always trump blind belief. You just can't be selective.

We would not have this argument if this could be done. No beliefs should be needed, just solid evidence.

Edit: Lala, just tell us, better yet link us, somewhere astrology succeeds to do better than random chance. No need to be 100% or even 50% if it involves more than a yes/no choice. Just better than random. Let astrology show it's own accuracy. It should be clearly seen without us being told.
