Stoeger Coach gun 12 gauge chamber size?

Recently purchased a Stoeger 12 gauge SxS Coach gun. The barrels indicate a 3" chamber. Can I safely assume that it will shoot both 2 3/4" and 3" shells?

The manual is useless. But I found 1 website that indicates that it will handle shells below 3".

Update:

Yes, fixed choke. Model 31400, blue with wood stocks. Also looking for (and unable to find yet) an upgraded recoil pad.

You can use any type of shotgun shell avalible as long as it's 3inches and under. You can use; slugs, buckshot, any regular shot, steel shot, and everything but tasers and 3 1/2inch magnum shells. The basic stoeger coach gun has fixed choke right? If you have the higher grade coach gun (interchangeable chokes) then you should ask a question on what chokes are safe for what ammo.

If it is indicated 3" than that's the max.size chambering, you can safely shoot 2 3/4!

If the barrel is marked for 3" shells then, yes your side by side can safely handle 2 3/4" and even shorter shotshells.

2 3/4 inch and 3 inch are perfectly fine for you to use in a Stoeger Coach Gun......

Yes, shotshells are cylindrical and headspace off the rim, so you can always go shorter, but you can't go longer.
