If you are in the US and get caught being an unlicensed driver, you can kiss your chances of ever getting your license until you are 18 or even 21 in some states.
Also the fines will be expensive & the car (most likely your PARENTS car) will be impounded. Total for the citation & impound fees that your parents will end up paying could easily total over $500, possibly even close to $1000.
If you do not have a permit & your parents allow you to drive on public streets, you could be cited for having no license & the penalty would be the same as above & your parent can be cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive a vehicle.
if you want to practice before getting your permit- stay on private property that has NO public access. If the public can access it, even though it may be private property- the police can still cite you for having no license.

So do you have a permit? If you don't then you WILL be busted for Driving without a license or permit. You WILL lose your privilege of getting a permit, and therefore License until 18. Now the WORST is you get in an accident and kill someone and compound it with not having a license.

If you are driving and someone pulls out in front of you and there is an accident not only can you not get your license at age 16 but they can impound your dads car and sue him for all he is worth. His insurance will not cover the car if you are driving and you will probably not be able to drive until at lease age 25. but the worse thing that could happen is someone could lose their life and you would have to deal with that the rest of your life. You may be a safe driver but all you need is for someone else to not be paying attention.

You dad could arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The car could be impounded and you could be placed in the tender care of a Child Protection Agency while your father loses parental rights.
Breaking the law simply because you are with a parent only makes it worse.

They could give you a ticket, that's probably expensive. I would advice you not to drive if you don't have a permit.

I am almost 15 and got pulled over-
You get charged with whatever they pulled you over for
Then you get charged with "Driving without a valid license"
I got to spin the wheel and take a deal.
In colorado you get PORKED even if its your first offense. If you hit someone you are not insured so your parents can get sued for lots of money.... I got a HUGE HUGE HUGE bitching about it.

The cop could be having a bad day and he could shoot you. You did say the worst thing; right?

If you're with your Dad I think it would be okay for sure, they wouldn't mess with you or your Dad.
But if you just took your Dad's car, without him in it, you would surely get in some trouble, if not a bad accident first. I definitely wouldn't do it, that's not a good idea at all.
For real though, riding a bike is more fun - I'm almost 30 and I still think so.

You can kill yourself, everyone in your car, and some innocent people as well, so DON"T DO IT!!!!!!!
