How can I calculate ovulation with an irregular cycle?

My last cycle was only 25 days long but the one before that was 32 and right now I'm at 26 and no period. How can I know when to even start testing with the ovulation tests if I don't know how long my cycle is?

    Hi hun

If you're really irregular you should just buy a rake of ovulation tests and do them every 2nd day, start at the earliest possible date of ovulation and keep going until you get a positive. I think thats the only way you're gonna be able to know hun

  • You can keep track of your CM. When it is sticky or stretchy, like an 'egg white' texture, that means that you are fertile and approaching ovulation. On the last day of this mucus you will actually ovulate so to be safe it's best to BD once you observe the EWCM. Another option is to take your BBT (basal body temp), you can buy the thermometer for that which is a bit pricey but not being disposable you can check everyday to track your temp. It can be done hun, I know it's difficult but you will learn so much about your body and will really become in tune with the changes in it. Sending prayers and baby dust your way, good luck!

You can buy the ovulation test strips that come in a bulk of 30. I would start them the 2nd day of your pd. Some women ovulate right after their period is over, because that cycle will be short. Since you have irregular cycles, I'd do that.

    Good luck!

It relies upon in the adventure that your cycles are continuously like that one; in case you ovulate early on your cycle or previous due on your cycle; in case you have short classes (how short) or long classes (how long) interior the comparable twelve months. as an occasion, i'm frequently a 30-day-cycle individual. even even with the shown fact that, it particularly is 28-30 days; it particularly is as short as 26 days or as long as 34 days. So my ovulation might take place between 12-sixteen days after my final menstrual era; yet it particularly is my very own situation. no you could inform you for constructive once you will ovulate or the size of your cycle in step with a single cycle. the terrific ingredient you're able to do is commence monitoring your cycle, indications, and cervical mucus (which provides a quite sturdy theory of your fertile days and ovulation). once you have long previous by some cycles, you would be waiting to greater or much less be attentive to approximately how long your cycles are; what your shortest and longest cycle would desire to be, and the approximate days you could ovulate based on your CM variations. sturdy success!

If you purchase an ovulation kit, there should be instructions in there to help. If my memory serves me right, there should be about 7 sticks in a package. So, you would probably start around 11 or 12 and test through day 18 or 19. That should cover it. Good luck.

I wouldnt recommend using the urine test strips. Instead I would use (I am using) the saliva ovulation predictor. You use it every morning. Its inexpensive and its 98% accurate, USFDA approved. It is very easy to use and read. That way you know right away in the morning if you are ovulating or in your transition phase (about to ovulate) You could also use the BBT method. But I wouldnt suggest charting by your periods, CM or any other "symptoms" as every woman is different and ovulation symptoms can also occur around period time.

  • you lucky actually, i was lucky to get 1 every 3-4 months, i never used ovulation kits, just watched the CM and that told me when.. keep an eye on that, last day of the sticky CM get crackin.. lol
