  • Paranoid about miscarriage?

    Hi All,

I finally got my BFP after TTC our #2 for six months! I'm only 4 weeks and 2 days. Is anyone else constantly worried about miscarriage? Everytime I go to the bathroom I am afraid to wipe and see blood, it makes going to the bathroom such a scary thing! Lol Am I crazy? I've been having a lot of cramping so that's adding to my paranoia.

  • Are your pregnancy and PMS symptoms normally the same?

    Hi All,

Today I am 10 or 11 DPO. Normally, when AF is coming, 8 or 9 DPO my breasts start getting really sore. Like, it hurts to walk down stairs they are so sore. Now here I am 10 or 11 DPO and they are not sore at all. Since it's normal for me when AF is coming for them to be sore does this mean AF is not coming and I could be pregnant? Just not sure if the symptoms would be the same for both AF and pregnancy? I also had cramping yesterday morning only on the left side.

  • Can two people with normal feet produce a child with Morton's Toe?

I've heard that Morton's Toe (Morton's Foot) is genetic and can be passed to your offspring. So if both parents have normal toes, is it possible for the child to have Morton's Toe or would one of the parents have to have it in order for the child to have it?

  • Pain in thighs at night?

I am currently 24 weeks with my first baby. For the past week or so I have been having trouble sleeping because I wake up with the worst pain in my thighs. I roll over to the other side, fall back asleep, then wake up with the thigh I am laying on hurting, and it goes back and forth all night like this with me rolling from one side to the other and waking up every hour or so with one of my thighs hurting. Then when I finally get up in the morning both of my thighs are so sore all day like I pulled a muscle. I have tried to find information on this online but with no success.

Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, how did you deal with it? My next doctors appointment isn't until March 1st and I don't want to call about this just yet as I feel kinda silly calling about thigh pains. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Help Getting a Job After Felony Charge?

I have a cousin who is 25 years old. He will be getting out of prison soon after being charged with a felony. Are there any programs in the Philadelphia area that help people with felony records find jobs? I would like to help him get a job so he doesn't fall back into his old habits. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

  • Can you eat Pop Rocks while pregnant?

I am 10 weeks pregnant. I was at the store this weekend and they have all the Christmas candy out already and they had candy cane flavored pop rocks. I have always loved pop rocks so I got excited and I bought them. Then when I got home, I was thinking, hmm, I wonder if these are ok to eat.

All they are is basically sugar but what makes them pop is that they are processed with carbon dioxide. I know this is a strange question but what do you think? Ok to eat or not?

  • When did you get your first ultrasound?

I am 9 weeks today and just had an appointment with my OB. I asked her when I could get my first ultrasound and she said they won't give me one until I am 19 or 20 weeks unless they suspect something is wrong.

This seems really late to me, I always thought they did one sooner than that and I'm kinda mad because I want to see my baby! Is this normal?

  • Was this pregnancy a mistake?

Ladies, I need some words of encouragement right now! Me and my husband (we are both 25) tried for 7 months to get pregnant and last month we finally succeeded! Right now I am 7 weeks with our #1!

I feel like I should be ecstatic about it but I am suffering from such severe lightheadedness/dizziness everyday, and on and off nausea that it doesn't really seem worth it. I feel absolutely terrible, I am miserable towards everyone, and all I want to do is sleep 24/7. I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel and keep asking myself if this was a mistake.

Anyone out there have a similar story or some words of encouragement? Thanks!

  • Low grade fever- should I be worried?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and for the past couple days I noticed I have been running a low grade temp around 99.2. It goes away when I take tylenol but then comes back again. Is this normal during pregnancy or should I be concerned?

  • Faint BFP this morning?

This morning I took a HPT with FMU and got a faint positive line after a minute or so. I'm between 9 and 11 DPO (not sure exactly). At first I was excited but then when I got to work I was looking up info about faint positive lines and read about chemical pregnancies. Do you think the faint line could really mean I'm pregnant or is it just a chemical pregnancy? Anyone have any experiences with a chemical pergnancy? I plan on testing again tomorrow morning with FMU to see if the line gets any stronger but it seems impossible to wait that long!

  • What kind of doctor do I go to?

My husband and I have been TTC for about 6 months on and off with no luck. I would like to go get tested for any kind of health issues like PCOS or anything that may be making it difficult to get pregnant instead of wasting more time trying if there's something wrong. What doctor do I go to? Do I go to my family doctor first (which is who does my normal PAP tests) or try to find an OBGYN or what? I have no clue!

  • Is this just a pimple or could it be an STD?

For about 3 or 4 days now, I have had what looks like a pimple on the inner part of my outer labia...if that makes sense. It is raised and red and very sore to the touch and has been getting bigger/more sore everyday. It hurts when I walk as well because it's kinda in a crevice (TMI sorry!) so it rubs when I walk. Is it possible that this is just a pimple or does it sound like it could be herpes or something? I did have unprotected sex with my friend about 12 days ago but I have given him oral sex before and never got sores on my mouth or anything so that's what makes me think it isn't any kind of STD because I would have gotten it by now, but I'm a hypochondriac and still worry about stuff like this. Also from what I've read about herpes, the sores are usually more flat and leak fluid, which mine is not, and usually only last a few days and mine has been around for almost 5 now. Thoughts please!

  • Do you think I could be pregnant?

Right now I am on day 32 of my cycle. I have a very irregular cycle so I'm not sure when I ovulated. I usually get my period between 28-30 days into my cycle. These are my symptoms:

    Cramping

Feeling of pressure in my lower abdomen (almost like I have to poop, sorry TMI)

    Sore nipples

    Very tired

I took a HPT test this morning and it was a BFN. Could I possibly be pregnant anyway or not?

  • Do you get cramping during ovulation?

I am 12 days into my cycle and yesterday and today I've been having mild cramps. I've been using OPK to check for ovulation and I tested yesterday and it didn't say I was. I've only been testing with the OPK every other day to save on kits. I don't think I am pregnant because just 12 days ago I had what I thought was my period and I haven't had any other pregnancy symptoms so I thought maybe cramping occurs with ovulation? Will the OPK give you a negative if you are already pregnant or would it read positive for ovulation?

  • How can I calculate ovulation with an irregular cycle?

My last cycle was only 25 days long but the one before that was 32 and right now I'm at 26 and no period. How can I know when to even start testing with the ovulation tests if I don't know how long my cycle is?

  • What does a faint negative on a HPT mean?

I took a HPT this morning, first thing this morning and it read negative but the negative line was very faint. Could that mean it's bordering on almost positive? I would think if you're definitely not pregnant the negative line would be strong. I was due for my period 2 days ago and have been having a lot of cramping that feels like my period, but no bleeding. What does this mean??

  • Do birds need vaccines?

My dad has had a blue crowned conure for about 7 years now and he does not take good care of it AT ALL! He's never taken it to the vet. Are birds supposed to receive regular vaccinations like dogs and cats? I'm thinking about taking it to a vet myself since my dad doesn't seem to care. Any bird lovers knowledge would be helpful, thanks!

My dog had Medial Patellar Luxation surgery on his knee 10 days ago. He seems to be using the leg completely but he's still limping a little bit. How long until he's no longer limping?
