Why wont my parents go to the kingdom hall with me i want to be a witness so bad..?

Why do my parents not want to help me study and be supportive, I just asked my grandma what religion she is and she said Jehovah's witnesses and she sorta witnessed to me, and i love Jehovah god,his son, and my fellow man whoever it may be.

Don't get discouraged and give up on your parents. Set a good example for them by regularly studying the Bible and attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall. When I began studying with Jehovah's Witnesses, I was 16 years old. Neither of my parents supported me as my father was an unbeliever and my mother was an inactive Witness. A Witness came to my house faithfully once a week to study with me and a Witness neighbor a block away would pick me up for the meetings. Different Witnesses would take me in the ministry on Saturdays when I wasn't in school. On the day I was baptized, I was 17 and traveled with fellow Witnesses some 300 miles away from home to my first international convention in Los Angeles. I was baptized along with nearly 7,000 others. Although my parents weren't there to observe my special day, I know my Creator was watching. Within one year following my baptism, my mother became an active Witness and is still serving Jehovah faithfully at the age of 77. My father, who I swore would never become a Witness and who was ex military, became a Witness 4 years latter and continues serving Jehovah as well and he is now 76. Be patient with them and never pressure them. Extend the invitation to attend meetings with you and keep up the good work. And don't forget prayer to Jehovah in their behalf.

Will your parents let you go alone? Would they let you go with your Grandmother? Maybe there's a reason they're hesitant to let you get involved with this group. I know if my child wanted to convert to be a JW, I would be really afraid for them. Maybe your parents want you to be safe and not be involved with a religion that will get you ostracized for the rest of your life.

Your parents are trying to set a good example for you to follow and obviously are doing a really good job of it. Honour thy father and mother.

you can always study the bible at home and learn about how the Lord sent his son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins.. I love the Lord and his son Jesus Christ.. I hope you will have the opportunity to study the bible yourself and find the comfort of his love as well! :o)

You cannot make other people do what you want them to. If you love God, He will make a way for you to worship Him and live in a trusting relationship with Him.

Tell your parents to go for knowledge's sake. They might as well learn about what creed their child is looking to follow.

Well, you can still go maybe your parents don't have time but you should still go even if they're not supportive. Do what you feel in your heart.
