My daughter is 13months and her high chair is driving me insane and would be really interested in the answers to this too. She can get out of the straps and stands up and then fights with me when I try to get her back down.

With my son we stopped using a regular high chair when he was 8 months old, because he could get out of it even when buckled in. So we started just using the little booster high chair things that strap to your kitchen chairs and have trays. he used that only until 13 months old when he went totally off of baby food. When my daughter came along we didn't even bother with the regular high chair, but used one of the portable ones that reclined. But she never liked baby food, so she didn't spend much time in it. She didn't eat at all until she was 18 months old - so she never really used a high chair, except at restaurants. But by the time the kids were walking (before their first birthdays) they wouldn't sit in high chairs at restaurants. Or booster seats. So we have just let them sit at the table, and we always get booths so it is easier and safer.

With my second son I think he was two year old or something. it been a long time to remember. he four year old now. I know I threw it away when I moving out of my apartment and I didn't want to take it with me. I used something else to put on regular chair. I have a booster chair that straps to the chair to stay on there tight. It does three different position. One for newborn second for older baby. Three for sitting position and it will last me a long time. Right now my baby girl is four months old

my daughter was young when she stopped using a highs chair, shew as only about 15 months, and its only because we moved and didnt want to take the high chair with us. but my brother bought her one of those booster seats that fit right on the chair of the table and they work great. shes almost 3 and still uses it!

My daughter is 13 months and I plan on purchasing one of these http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-Booster-POD... in the near future. It is a booster seat that straps to the chair and also has straps for the kiddo - I am tired of her high chair, it gets filthy and is hard to clean!

Our 18 month old now eats at our table with us on a booster seat - she's very happy with the new arrangement.

my daughter is 2 and still uses it....only cause we don't have a dinning room table yet...due to just moving....she would be using a booster seat.
