I've had many moments of true joy in my life but one will stand out above the rest until the day I die. I can still feel my throat tighten when I think of it.

One explanation ahead of time - my dad left when I was four and was never interested in whether or not I was hungry, housed, safe or anything about my life. So, its no surprise that it took until I was 34 to trust someone enough to get married.

Anyway, one evening when the kids were still little, they were playing on the floor and my husband and I were sitting there reading the paper or whatever. I looked up and saw that my husband was watching the kids play. He was very quiet but had the most content and happy look on his face while one tear of shear joy rolled down his cheek.

I know that sounds corny but the most expensive presents, the biggest piles of money or the fanciest house could never give me the utter joy I still feel from seeing that one little tear.

More days than not I experience true joy when I take the time to MARVEL AT NATURE...to actually LOOK at folk on my way to work walking their doggies, or taking their kids out for a walk...looking at the budding trees, smelling the air and realizing that MOST in life is NOT of human doing.

AND realizing that once again I have a chance to truly enjoy this life at age 67

My definition of true joy is a feeling of euphoria that is within us. . . it is a tiny bird with a big song ! It is divine peace that comes from being meek and humble. . .

I experience true joy every day ! It comes from making a fundamental difference in someone's life.. . To show love, compassion and forgiveness brings profound joy into my life ! It is so easy to do !

My definitions of true joy, are the love of family and friends. I enjoy going camping, going hiking and the beautiful scenery, and I enjoy the laughter around the campfire. Finding joy and laughter in life, being able to help my loved ones when they need help...it is all precious.

I like people and rarely know strangers, even with differences. (As long as they are nice and not difficult people)

Living every moment to the fullest so we will be remembered as someone who loves life and laughs easily, despite difficulties.

Recently. Our family is going through a rough time now with a family member that is suffering with cancer and surgery. The joy throughout all this, yes there is still joy, is with the Lord and seeing how His magnificence is pulling this loved one through the shadow of death. It truly is a miracle story of 13 long years. When all else fails, there is always the joy of having the Lord in ones heart.

A state of happiness and content. At peace with oneself. The last time I experienced true joy would be yesterday. :)

I live for the sound that a meth lab makes when it blows up. Then I hope the cooks were in there when it went BOOM!

I always hope that innocents living nearby are not harmed by these greedy dope cooking/toxin dumping beasts that are ruining the land & endangering the health of the communities they set up shop in!
