Why do cats like to sit on paper?

I have no idea, but my cats do that too!

But they prefer plastic bags over paper. They lick them, too.

My cat also likes to sit on paper, but also boxes ( no matter how small, even if he cant fit) and bags, he loves bags, will actually go out of his way to sit/sleep on a good bag! (plastic or fabric)

Still have no idea why he does this, but i think it might be that we have wooden floors and its a bit warmer, otherwise it makes no sense!!!

Mine do that too. Even when the paper is on the sofa or my bed! One of my cats, Butters, likes to shred the paper with his teeth as well.

Who knows what goes on in those little furry heads!

Cats is cats. They do weird cat-like things. That's one of them. I cannot read a paper or book anywhere in my house without a cat tearing at it or sitting on it.

I don't know why but I had two cats and they both did that.they would sit on or sleep on paper all the time in preference to something more comfortable.

It's also something just a bit warmer than the surrounding floor

Well , my cat does that to my homework , it sees me writing on it , and it automatically runs to sit on it .

I think it just wants more attention , which I find really cute , :]

Cat's can't use toilet paper and they don't like to use grass to wipe themselves like some dogs do
