Can we have a definition of "normal" please?

We are morally superior to animals. However, normal? There is no such thing in my opinion. Normal is whatever the world makes it, and half the world has a different version then the other half. So, why does it matter what someone else thinks to be normal?

The whole argument is futile because normal does not equal correct, and different does not equal wrong. Normal means average. Being right-handed is normal. Being left-handed is not normal. Being left-handed is not morally wrong.

Immorality has to do with harm to others or yourself, and writing/sexual preference has nothing to do with harm. Relative to all living things, homosexuality is not normal. However, relative to all living things, SEX is not normal. Asexuality is far more common. Relative to the universe, LIFE is not normal...so once again, it's all relative.

As you want to so much for homosexual behavior to be normal, when it's an abomination, and animals performing the same action were put to death because of the Abnormal behavior. If as you suppose the banobos and baboon are our closest relation, I beg to defer. The great apes are more likely to fall into that category. I am sure that the chimpanzees are in the great ape category too, and they perform cannibalism on their defeated foes, they EAT them, so being as you suppose that we are not that far removed from them, do you say also that we need to feed on each other to since the great ape like the chimp eats other chimps?

As a Christian I realize that none of us are "natural". As a Christian (I'm Bi too), I realize that normal is operating within the parameters determined by a society, clique, group, etc.

So my brethren are all upset because homosexuals have raised in their presence on the earth! We can see them better now!

But the truth is according to the Bible I read that we are all "not normal" if Normal is what a being is without a sin nature.

So if any of us is going to call the other "immoral" we might as well include ourselves in that argument.

The reason why I say this is because as a Christian I realize that Jesus said the default condition is "condemned". We might be able to get to the level of "not condemned", but that is done only by trusting in the one God sent Jesus Christ; according to Him.

So what my politically polarized brethren are doing is taking the role of hypocrite. They act as if they are the only "normal" ones who have their own special little corner on God.

But that's not the Gospel according to Jesus Christ! According to him we are all "abnormal", we are all abominations, we are all condemned, but he makes us "normal" by His standards through Jesus Christ by trusting in Him.

Homosexuality is not normal in my opinion. But that does not make it wrong. If it is what they want to do its totally up to them.

being not normal does not make something bad. Normal is a term for what is average. The average person does not play a professional sport. That does not make NFL players immoral.

On average, the human male has 1.99 testicles.

Normal is a imaginary word that exists only in the realm of statistics.

Genius isn't normal either.

Just because something doesn't fall in the middle of the bell curve doesn't mean it's bad.

"Normal" is completely irrelevant in this argument.
