Does anyone recall the name of the egg that was made of fruit/candy creme and it came in a box?

I think the outside was chocolate and had colored roses and bows as a decoration too. I'm talkin ages ago. 70's maybe.

Wow, I am tripping down memory lane. I remember in the 50's and 60's my mom always got me an egg with my name on it in pretty icing. It had bows and flowers too. It had a lid that came off and became a kind of box for other little goodies. I remember fruit n nut eggs. Almost any candy maker in those days had a version.

Morgan thanks for the link. Candy buttons! Why did we like those? You ended up eating as much paper as candy.

I remember the egg your talking about but can't remember the name. I do remember that my mom loved them. MS2 is correct, they were a complete sugar overload. Mom didn't have to worry about us kids stealing any of hers because when we were small fruit in candy wasn't high on our list but I luv strawberries and chocolate now. One of my favorite things. I'll keep trying to pull the name from my old brain cells and will edit if I remember. Darn this old age memory stuff really sucks....lol

Oh, I just remmebered, when I was young they called it a fruit and nut egg if I'm remembering correctly. Mom's also had nuts mixed in with the cream and fruit.

Just Joyce...thanks for jogging my memory on Panorama Eggs. I remember receiving one when I was a child. I put it in my pocket before we went to Mass that morning. Boy, did I get the dickens when mom saw me sneaking a peek in the egg during Mass. She jerked my arm and threatened to give everything in my tiny basket back to the Easter Bunny. Sure caught my attention...lol

I think Brack's made the ones Mom used to put in my Easter Basket. The box had a little window so you could see the top of the egg. They were yummy! Brach's Confections was sold to Farley's & Sathers Candy Company in 2007 so you won't find them like that anymore.

It was a long time ago, even when my kids were young but I don't remember the name. I think it was chocolate covered with fruit inside. I have not seen this candy for years. Poppy

The egg you're talking about is the one I thought of, then I viewed the link that Morgan O shared. It's the egg that the Easter Bunny brought me many times. Yummy!

I used to get that egg at Easter, it was what I called a Fruit & nut egg, but can't remember who made it. Haven't seen them around for a long time now. And I loved them.

Morgan has it right !!! Oh I remember those sickeningly sweet things. . . Like eating a piece of heaven !! But I hated the hard pink flower on top !

Does anyone ever remember getting an egg. . white and sugar coated, but they were not to eat ! There was a hole in the end covered with glass or plastic. . . and a 3D scene inside them. . . usually of Easter bunnies in a garden. . . I think they were called Panorama Eggs ? ? ? ?
