Double it easily by then when more Americans realize that even after the billions spent nothing is changing for them. Too bad we cannot count the many, many people driving by who honked in support.

Source(s): lolcat, you clearly have no idea what the TEA party entails if you assume it has to do with the literal dumping of tea (at least it wasn't that here). lol

Can’t you give me a link? This site http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/04/how-many-at... apparently only lists the afternoon meetings, and has yet to update to include the more massively attended evening rallies.

He does have a disclaimer stating his list is "far from comprehensive" but when a 5000 people rally at Fort Worth & a larger rally at San Antonio are not included, I would say that "far from comprehensive" is a gross understatement!

Here is the update of the 538 site. http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2009/04/tea-party-n... It still seems to be underestimating the numbers. But at least now he says the numbers were over 300,000!

What I find fascinating is that the initial numbers show that we beat the pants off the Million Mom March in 2000. Yet look at the difference in media coverage! MMM got weeks of coverage and on the day of they were saying attendees in the hundreds of thousands, then cut it to tens of thousands, etc. With the TEA parties - the media is trying to ignore it, and when they do report, they say hundreds of people when the police of the same cities are saying over a thousand.

HUH? There were at least 2,000 at mine and the city is not large! I have picture to prove this.

We are pissed off and the only ones that are saying that this wasn't a success are the weenie liberals that are afraid that the silent majority isn't silent anymore!

Get a life. This is not the end of this!

Millions of people dumping tea in to lakes and rivers can't be good for the ecosystem or the fish.

  • That is a lie. The Tea Party Baggers will be lucky if 200,000 went.

This past November over 68 million and that's MILLION voted for President Obama. Please, get over the numbers.
