David Carr does have the record for most times sacked in a season at 76.

But all time, the QB who has been sacked the most is John Elway at 516.

i think if they kept sack stats back in the 60's , the most sacked would have been sonny jurgensen over his career with the redskins who were horrible for years.

Geez as a Pats fan I say Drew Bledsoe. That guy held the ball so long it's a wonder he didn't get a sheared lung long before 2001.

David Carr has to be getting close.

you will never know because the sack was not always an official stat.
