Why do the majority of Americans like the job that Pres. Obama has done so far?
Virtually every poll that I have reviewed show a positive perception by the public in terms of President Obama's actions to date.
Do you believe that the American public is correct in their assessment or do you feel that the American public is wrong?

They're absolutely right.
The economy is showing signs of life, he is mending foreign relations, and even though it was only against pirates, he has shown that he can and will use military force where appropriate. Bad news neo-cons, the guy is doing a good job, and driving some over-due nails into the GOP coffin.

This is a faulty statement. Look at other Presidents approval during the first 90 days. It is always high.
The difference is that the media is in a love fest with Obama. His approval ratings are coming down and probably faster and lower than previous presidents. I will have to research this.
Presidential Approval Ratings, Since 1950
Below are the highest and lowest approval ratings ever received by a president in a national opinion poll throughout his presidency.
President Highest Rating Lowest Rating
Harry Truman 87% 23%
Dwight Eisenhower 79% 48%
John F. Kennedy 83% 56%
Lyndon Johnson 79% 35%
Richard Nixon 67% 24%
Gerald Ford 71% 37%
Jimmy Carter 75% 28%
Ronald Reagan 68% 35%
George H.W. Bush 89% 29%
Bill Clinton 73% 37%
George W. Bush 90% 29%

The problem is that the public has the attention span of a gnat and only listen to the media for their positions. I would have more respect for posters if they actually did some research and have links to their statements. It just sounds so much like what I have heard on the news.

People are still sold on the hope and change Obama promised. They were frustrated with the last administration and were desperate for something different. They got it. Obama hasn't even been in office six months, so folks are still punch drunk. Give it a year and the polls may or may not reflect differently on the administration. If you look back in history, the initial polling numbers are high when a president takes office... especially when there is a change in the party representation. Bush had an incredibly high approval rating at this stage in his presidency. We won't know what the ultimate perception of Obama is until he's been there longer.

Right now his approval rating is high but you let him stumble one time and that rating will drop like a rock...many Democrats think Obama won the election because people thought he was the savior but in reality people were reacting to the economy and let inflation start to rise because of too much borrowing and spending or if this country is attacked again and Obama doesn't go after them as strong as Bush did and you will see his approval rating drop. Obama may have a very high approval rating but the Congress still doesn't so people should stop worrying about Obama and go after the Democrats in Congress...take away the Democratic majority in the House and you will see Obama's spending come to a screeching halt.

effectual he needs to proceed. reality: The Repubican bush lost us 8 million jobs. reality: lower than Obama, we've gained again 4 million of those jobs in 4 years Outlook: contained in the subsequent 4 years lower than Obama we can benefit yet another 4 million jobs btw: Romney and his acquaintances led to the precursors of the deficit.

Because you're looking at polls, and poll questions can be very slanted/biased, in looking for a specific answer.
The one poll I took asked the same question 5 times, they just asked it 5 different ways, they simply take the question that has the most yes/no answers they want and use that one in the end.

Because they are rational people who know that Democrats with solutions offered by economic experts are more likely to solve our economic problems than Republicans in Congress with little more than complaints and a budget offering that would reward the rich once again.
Yes, I believe that the majority of us are correct in our assessment.

Moral decline, Brain washed by liberal media, brain damaged, mental retardation, they had a frontal lobotomy, or they just simply don't know any better. Any of these might work. God bless.

depends where the poll was taken.rasmussen's has him slipping little by little.and his numbers are already less than bush was in the same amount of days.

Proof positive that most people can be easily mislead. Thank you for making my point.
