How can you get negative points on yahoo?

Because you start out with 0 points for the week. You get 1 point for visiting Y!A. If you do not answer questions you only ask then you are going to be in the negative points because it cost you 5 points to ask each question. So until you answer questions to build your points back up you will have negative points. Hope this helps!!!

You cannot fall below 0 overall total points, as you then have insufficient points to ask questions which cost (5) Points each.

If you work your way down to 0 Points then you are demoted to level 0 (will be a level 1 by gaining just 1 point) and to get out of having no points you will have to contribute to the community via answering/voting/logging in daily etc.

You can however go into negative Weekly point scores so long as you have sufficient points to do so, do this via asking a question (-5 Points), deleting an answer (-2 Points), Gaining a violation (-10 Points), failing a violation appeal (-10 Points)

You can only get negative points per WEEK, not total. Weekly points are set to ZERO on Sunday night/Monday morning.

Questions are -5 points to ask.

Violations are -10 points.

So if you ask too much, or get violations, before you have had time to build up weekly points by answering, you will run into the negative numbers. If you get violations, you should get an email notice with a link to appeal if you wish. If you win, you get your points returned; if you don't, you lose another 10 points.

those are the techniques you may lose factors right here: a million. 5 for asking a question 2. 2 for self-deleting your answer 3. 10 for incurring a contravention in a question 4. 12 for incurring a contravention in an answer 5. 10 for submitting a pretend allure (besides to the final 2 products)

Depends on how many questions you have asked.

For each question you ask you loose points. I think its something like 5.

You can gain points by answering other peoples questions.

And if you have asked a question when you pick a best answer you get points there as well.
