On my team: Claude Giroux-before the trade deadline, we weren't sure that he'd be finishing the season in the NHL. Now he has 1 goal and 2 assists. And these were some clutch points.

In the whole NHL: Varlamov-he's given the Caps the boost that they need. With the shutout tonight, this may be the start of a comeback.

  • Varlamov on Washington. Gives up only one goal in two games. Pretty impressive for a rookie with only 5 previous NHL starts before the playoffs began.

Zach Parise - #5 all time point leader this season behind Malkin, Ovechkin, Crosby, and Datsyuk...does he ever get mentioned in this group of player? nope. The guy wasn't projected to do this well, but he is really getting acclimated to the game of hockey.

I'm going the other way, I expected a LOT more out of Steve Mason, although his team hasn't helped much. The series ain't over yet though!

even though they're down 3-0 , I'd say Andy McDonald .. he couldn't be doing much more besides the fact Luongo's been stellar...

OK, I hate myself for saying this, but Tim Thomas. I know I know, he'll win the Vezina this year, but even I have been waiting for the collapse (glad it hasn't happened though)
