I am in South East Alaska.

    1 Brick of Federal 22 ammo $23 to $32

    1 box of 50 9mm $18 to $26

    1 box of 20 30-06 150 gr $36 to $47

    1 box of 20 30-06 FMG $18 to $21

    1 box of 20 wolf 7.62x39 $17 to $21

    1 box of 5, 1 oz 12 ga Winchester slugs $9 to $12

I have no prices for the rest as they have been out of stock for months. Some locals are selling their primers for $25 for a box of 100!!! That’s 25 cents for each primer. And a pound of powder is about $50 no matter the type, IF you can talk a local out of their supply.

It’s so bad here people are taking the 6 to 7 day round trip by ferry to Washington State to get ammo and components. Most are ordering bullets, brass online but powder, primers, and loaded ammo are almost non-existent and can’t be shipped here other than boat or barge. The local shooting areas are empty. Every one is holding on to their ammo other than few who are making a bundle selling what they have extra. I am shooting black powder firearms and my modern guns sit idle ditto for many I know. Sure am glad I stocked up on things in the 80s and 90s!!!

I am in Virginia...I usually pay about $20 for 550 22lr, about $10 for box of 50 9mm Luger, about $32 for box of 100 45acp. They are all still pretty easy to find, sometimes the store will sell out but I check back in a day or two and they will have it in. I have noticed that the last couple of weeks the restocks are taking a little longer. I borrowed a .380 from a family member but I cant get any ammo for this gun at all. A few weeks ago WalMart got some in and it sold out almost immediately and there as not been any anywhere ever since...even the gun store went to buy some at walmart so he would have it in his store if somebody bought a gun!

    $13.99 per box of 50

Sellier & Bellot .38 Special 158 gr. Lead Round Nose

    $14.49 per box of 50

Remington UMC 38 SPECIAL 158GR LRN (the indoor range likes LRN because they think it is better to get lead poisoning from the dust rather than risk a ricochet)

Remington UMC 38 SPECIAL +P 125GR JHP (my work ammo)

No shortage. Purchased 5 boxes of S&B LRN and one box of Rem FMJ today. I carry a Taurus Model 82 as an armed security guard. Could you imagine a security guard unable to buy ammo? It would be all over the news, wouldn't it? I buy it in a retail store, just like anyone else. I get to shoot it and then write off the costs on my taxes as training.

Besides my work gun, I have a 22lr and a 20 gauge. I get whatever 36 gr holllowpoint ammo is running about 3-4 cents a shot, usually Federal. I don't think I've ever paid more than 8 or 9 cents for the most expensive 22 lr in the shop.

I haven't bought 20 guage in months, but it was about $25 per 100 for #7.5 Federal.

    Lets see.

    I use 9mm, .44mag, .45LC, .44 & .45 lead ball (BP). Handguns

    I use .220 swift, 30-06, (2 guns), .308, .444 marlin, 45-70, .32 & .50 lead ball, .50 mini-ball & maxi-ball (BP) Rifles.

    I use 12ga, (4 guns), 16ga. Shotguns

Oh Yea, .22LR for handguns and rifles.

I cast bullets and ball, and reload everything EXCEPT .22LR. (They are too much trouble to reload, but if necessary I CAN.)

Since I have a minimum of 100 rounds each, and still have reload materials for 1000 rounds each, minimum, (except 22LR), AND 5000 BP percussion caps and 10 spare flints, and buy everything in bulk amounts WHEN I shop. Have 5000 rounds .22LR not yet opened, in 5 different types/loads, and approximately 1000 rounds currently left in open stock.

Gee, I haven't been shopping for ammo in years!!

(Since Clinton was elected and I last stocked up!)

    Maybe you should try reloading!!
