Person with Asperger Syndrome?
I was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome last year. I am twenty-six and have communication errors with people. Sometimes people get so mad at me. I often misinterpret people's words and I end up with people mad or laughing at me.
It's so frustrating! How can I change this?

Look up atiinstitute.org--they are a clearing house for practitioners who can help you and will charge you nothing for an inquiry/consultation. My partner and I run a nonprofit with an outstanding track record in treating Asperger's, autism, and ADHD using this method, but ethics forbids my publishing it here and you may be in the wrong part of the country anyway. The treatment time is very short and the price so reasonable you may not believe it. THIS IS NO SCAM. These people are professionals; a Master's degree is the minimum credential, and the site explains the theory behind the treatment. This is NOT a behaviorist school for autistic children--the therapy is adaptable to a wide age spectrum. My partner's last client of 2008 was about 23.
We know how disturbing Asperger's is to an adult, and we also know that the AIT method has an extraordinary success rate, even in adults. The hardest part is knowing you're not crazy or a dummy or hopeless nerd (Asperger's people are usually highly intelligent, with substantial intellectual competence). The syndrome has specific physical roots and the treatment works from cognitive to behavioral, an ideal mode for adults. If you want to know more ask to be one of my contacts and ask any questions you like.

Your best aid would be education: check out "Aspergers Syndrome" in Wikipedia- a good description therre, and links for further reading. I'm endowed with AS myself, certainly true for younger years, but doesn't matter much these days- I'd say "Make it Work for you" and advise you to get creative with it.
