Poll: Did you know that old cake and pancake mix can kill you?

hmmm!! i was not aware of that! after i answer this question, i'm headed for my pantry to make sure i don't have any out dated ANYTHING that comes in a box . in the past i have found little bugs in a bag of flour. i put flour in a plastic container now, with a snap on lid now for that.

I don't buy it, I've been eating flapjacks made from a mix all my life and so far I haven't flipped out. If that were really true just think of how many people across the country would be sick or dead from eating pancakes already.

Yes, I have heard that story, and I always try to check the date on anything that has been around for a while. If you read the whole story, it goes on to say that it's not that common, but if you have allergies, it would be a good idea to check the expiration dates.

Now my wife will have to use 'Plan B' because I checked the expiration date on the box as she attempted to cram pancakes down my pie hole this morning...
