What would be some sources of funding for political science studies (in the US)?

Update:

To clarify, I'm talking of research grants for a study on say topic X, as in what a professor might submit.

Are you talking about grants/scholarships to study in the US, FOR Political Science? If so, you'll have to apply to schools and for grants.

It would depend heavily on your concentration. More applied subfields like international relations, comparative politics, and public policy often have grants, scholarships, and fellowships. Check the website for your university's political science program and see what they say.
