Because your car obviously isn't that fast. Other than the supercharger (which isn't working properly) your car has little performance mods that will only get you a few hp each. I'll bet you didn't even do any tuning.

im an integra owner myself. i have a 1999 integra gs. and the reason u lost is because the gsr has 170 horsepower and the 2001 6 cylinder eclipse has almost 240. i would put a vtech engine which adds like 20 horsepower and put better headers and a fat air filter. and the integra is 1.8 liter engine while the v6 eclipse is 3.0. so it has a bigger engine which means more torque and power. he probably didn't even beat you by that much since you installed all those features. the main reason why hw beat you was bigger engine, v6, and had more horsepower. my brother has a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse GS-T spyder and its turbo. he beats my car all the time because i havent put anything in it yet. just keep rebuilding your engine and put good parts and youll be straight.

cuz you don't know how to properly mod your car. You have the wrong type of forced induction. Superchargers suck, go turbo. You bought the wrong intake manifold, wrong cat-back, bad coilovers, and the others are useless pieces of flair.
also, judging by how there aren't any clutch/flywheel mods or a short throw shifter, im guessing its an automatic tranny. If so, there's your problem right there. real cars have a manual.

You shoulda won man...you must not know how to drive.
Integra has 170hp stock and should have well over 200hp with a centrifugal supercharger. Integra weighs like 2700lbs
The eclipse has 200hp/200tq stock and weighs just over 3000lbs..
But I gotta ask...why the hell did you list all that meaningless crap like:
power windows, locks
sun roof
painted satin black primer
custom dash
Who the hell cares...that's all pointless...
Oh yeah man, you lost b/c of the black primer paint job yo...
you probably don't even have 'that' car...

the selonoid like everyone said, another thing not said is if the knock sensor is sensing knock(even if there is none) it will disable vtec system. Then you have a motor that is basically no better then a b18b. so make sure the knock sensor is properly working.

it's not about horsepower, it's all been about TORQUE!
don't listen to that JDM crap that they market you man
your car doesn't move anywhere if it doesn't got torque! horsepower was just some made up equation.
bigger engines will always beat smaller engines, just remember that!
i dont care if you soup your 4 cylinder up hella well, if it's not an STI it will never beat a bigger engine with the same amount of tuning.

2 reasons:
no v-tec
either you are a bad ricer or the person in the eclipse went to ricer school

Because you make like 120hp stock while the eclipse make like 250hp. Even if your supercharger worked right unless you had good amount of boost you wouldn't beat him.
