Why did FIX (Fox) News try to turn the Swine Flu into racism?

All they talked about yesterday was how the swine flu was brought into the US by illegal Mexicans crossing the border. No, I don't watch this idiotic station, I saw bits and pieces of it on Obermann.

Guess Fox didn't know that the flu first entered the country from Catholic students attending a private school returning from Cancun.

FIX news is disgusting!!

You clearly don't watch Fox news at all, so you smear them with a lie. And Obermann is getting his head hammered in by O'Reily in the ratings from what I hear. He's such a poor hack.

Does any really know how the Swine Flu entered into the country? For all any one can guess it was from college students returning from spring break, similar to what you say there. But the flu is pretty wide spread in Mexico so checking the borders for illegal aliens carrying the flu across only makes sense. But ideologues like Obermann thinks that's racist.

BTW, the first death to the Swine Flu in the U.S. is an illegal alien, brought here because our current health care system is far better than Mexico's. Paid for by your tax dollars.

I didn't hear that on Fox News, that came from Libertarian talk show host Neal Boortz. And he dosen't like O'Reily for his own reasons.

Source(s): Are you one of the 10 people still watching MSNBC?

why are you so sensitive. Just because the majority of the swine flu is coming from Mexico. The news is stating a fact. Is the news not supposed to say the word Mexico? Is that racist. Get over it.

They don't mean that from a racist point of view. What they mean is that swine flu is a type of influenza that was descended from the Spanish Flu, brought over from Spain in the 1700's. And the illness stayed in Mexico and South America until just recently, rates as far as illegal immigration have started to increase. So naturally, it was brought over FROM Mexico, but not from a racist point of view.

I hope you are just joking around and not serious. It is called swine flu because it happens only among the pigs initially. But then the virus strain was transmitted from pig to human. Then, then transmission is now from human to human. I never heard of anyone contracted the virus and turned into pig yet. I hope not. LOL

Apparently Fox News and too many other people fail to realize that the flu usually originates outside the US in whatever form it may take. (i.e. "The Spanish Flu", the "Hong Kong" flu).

Look another person believing a highly partisan show about the evils and partisanship of another show without doing their own research.

For a group that promotes education, they sure don't want you to do your own research do they?

    OF COURSE you don't watch.

    I'll bet.

I doubt you have a clue how the swine flu "first entered the country".

The first fatality, however, was the two year old child of an illegal couple in Texas.
