Spiritually Speaking, how would you handle....?
I was diagnosed with Swine flu, and must admit it is not the worst flu I have ever had. I will easily recover, and get a solid 10 days on house quarantine, which is nice. and if it comes back more lethal in a few months, I will have developed immunity
So I was scared last night, and in a rare moment of honesty and seriousness, I will tell you I was pooping apples.
I prayed. It was nice.
For my atheist brethren, do you miss the ability to sincerely pray? It has its moments. Yeah, I know the whole guilt thing about Catholicism can blow at times, but the praying is nice, and lets not even mention a solid church bake sale.

If what you say is true, then as an old person, I can tell you I wish I could get infected.
I WANT TOO POOP APPLES!!!
I seem to poop soup more than anything else. I long for the days when I pooped apples.

Prayer is for those that have a faith, that is to say a belief in that which is unseen. Prayer works when the person praying as well as the person prayed for believes that prayers can move mountains. I have seen a person who was being prayed for and whom the doctors openly stated there was no and I mean 0 brain activity come back from death and be fully functional without any damage what so ever. That person was a Christian before and an even stronger one after that event.
Atheists cannot miss the power of prayer because they do not believe in its power and so they cannot see any good that it does. That is the part that I pity them for. They are being robbed time and time again from all the greatness that could be theirs by their own "wisdom".

It is not what we can handle it is God that handles all things. The world brings about sickness and disease. It can be frightening.
But it is in those times we learn to pray,it maybe just nice to do it for some.
It prompts the power of God. Prayer brings us close to the only one that can. God touches us in are rare moments of honesty and seriousness.
Living is not a game. It is so serious that a person came to die for it. So we can have life and life more abundantly. God is love in it's purest form. He knew you would pray before you knew it. Atheist or not. God knows how to move us. God seeks to save those that are lost.
It is not about a bake sale or Catholicism.God has gotten a bad rap because of the actions of others that say what they are not. A Christian is a follower of Christ a church.
God wants his house to be a house of prayer not a den of thieves. The house of God has been anything but what God intended. We should be praying for all and thanking God for keeping us safe from disease and stress.
Source(s): The word of God says that if judgement begins in the church and there be few that make it. Just think of those that are out there in the world. read 1 Peter 4:17. God has worn us against hypocrasy. How would I have handled it? I would have called on God and gave him praise that I would have the time to be thankful. Luke 13. - Place is a jokeLv 61 decade ago
You made me laugh so life is good. Yours is a path to the truth, just not the only one. Take away the negative part of your church and you'll be closer to the truth.
Praying is just trying to reconnect the intercommunication with the higher dimensional planes that were cut during the great Fall.

i'm as a rule the type that merely needs a brilliant form of time by myself till the early days of it pass. How unhappy for this Dr., i does not blame them in the event that they only pass Christmas and do something with their presents at a later date. I mean how do you even face that day? holidays are undesirable sufficient as quickly as everyone seems to be lacking, yet to have a tragedy take place so close to to it. To think of he in all probability already had presents stashed away for her...

Get well. And no I don't. Prayer probably does work for the one saying the prayer as a psychological comfort, but it has been shown that prayer does not work for the "prayed for"...
