What's the POINT of women's studies?

It's real purpose...to load women's heads up with garbage to brainwash them AND most importantly, degrade men and boys. Yeah I've taken women studies classes and yes I am a woman. The stuff I heard in class made Edgar Allen Poe seem normal and personally, I thought he was a complete twit! I remember in one class the professor was talking about a theory that made me spit up in my mouth. This one feminist theorized that ALL women are born as lesbians but through suppression and domination by men, women are led to believe they are heterosexual. I was like WHAT!!! This kinda garbage is being taught! But wait......many women actually fall for this crap...unbelievable!

Exactly....like what's the point in African American studies...why should I learn about their culture when I'm white...I mean, isn't that generalizing? Err...wow, I can't believe I said that, doesn't that make me sound really stupid? I should just shut up. <AHEM>

The course study is nothing but man bashing. The whole entire text pretty much say's one thing "If there is something wrong in the world a straight white male is to blame".

The author's of those text books distort the truth or out right lies and case studies from the 50's-70's that are no longer relevant that the authors try to pass off as something that happened recently.

They "edit" the studies that they use that are legitimate.

If a law was passed that forced colleges and universities to only teach fact's and the text books had to be as accurate as possible they would have to shut down "women studies" and other feminist courses.

Don't believe me? Go to ebay and buy a cheap used text book from a feminist course. Check it vs reality and it becomes clear why I consider all feminist's to be criminals.

To advance Marxism. The central government gives them trinkets, then they swear to make laws to benefit the woman firsters, and presto, government get's bigger, and Marxism gets advanced, and women feel better knowing they are more manly than ever now!

As a feminist training camp, it main purpose is to indoctrinate students with feminist dogmas.

I don't know, it's not very big here in Australia and from what I've seen on here it causes more angst than anything.

Most of history tells about male accomplishments, male heroes and villains, male leaders.

Women studies show you the female side of the story.

Also,

there are just as many differences as there are similarities between men and women. Why be ignorant about them?

Who cares what needs to be studied the question is: What is studied? Because all I see is useless (but funny) bickering back and forth
