How much negotiating room (if any) would I have for a 2010 Camaro with a V6 and an Auto tranny?

With this being brand spanking new to the market, and something everyone wants, am I going to have any negotiating room on the price, even though it's pretty much a baseline model?

Thanks everyone!!!

You are right, it is what everyone wants, including me. And if the demand outstrips the supply, there will be no negotiating room, and some dealers might even get away with charging a premium. Since automobiles depreciate, not from the end sale price, but from the price paid by the dealer to the manufacturer, I usually can't bring myself to buy a new, popular model, until the the supply catches up and surpasses the demand.

The present economy, and the fragile condition of General Motors, certainly throws some heretofore unknown variables into the 2010 Camaro market. I can't see GM loading the dealers with fleets of new Camaros, therefore I'd say it will remain a sellers market. On the other hand, how many guys like me are there that want one, but are just too unsure of the economy to make the plunge? If the latter is the case, let the negotiations begin.

Keep an eye on the website, http://www.edmunds.com/ They were once straight up on real market value for most cars, but in recent years I've been able, in every case, to get a better deal than even Edmunds says is good. Edmunds can still be helpful though.

Wish I could help you more. Good luck.

Fewer than those who have been stashing cash for this car since it was even rumored there would be a 5th gen.

From what I'm hearing from people, you can expect to pay MSRP or above if you really want one now. They're a hot item that people want.
