Is "Clean Energy" really going to create 5,000,000 jobs?

More like closer to 5,000. That will be the net number of jobs created after the cap and trade taxes go in place.

But then remember one thing. The jobs government creates are the ones your taxes pay the wages for. And there's 35% of every dollar that goes to government that gets lost in the shuffle.

NO it ain't, proof is in the pudding, Ireland went wind power 10 years ago it created some jobs but not too many extra because the Co. currently supplying the energy use their own people that they have currently on staff.

New Co. are not just going to pop up out of no where & supply millions of jobs No more like as is happening Large Co. like GE will take the lead along with current energy suppling Co.

This is just another political plow to keep people inline.

maybe in 50 years, the liberals placed a 25 year old drilling ban on this country 25 years ago and never created one GREEN alternative, because our oil imports went from 30% to 70% in those 25 years, now Obama is going to pull a rabbit out of his hat, overnight, yea OK**********

Clean energy has the potential to create millions of jobs, yes. By replacing antiquated fossil based industry with modern, cheap and clean fuel, our economy will improve on many levels.

Face it, people are tired of being indentured servants to the power companies and oil companies. Freeing up the $$$ those outdated entities claim every month will create lots of spending power for the US economy.

Remember, every south facing rooftop in America has the potential to be a profit center for that home. Imagine all those roof tops with solar water heaters, air heaters, solar powered ventilation fans and solar electric panels and you start to grasp the magnitude of the potential for this industry.

5,000,000 Jobs is a dream. He'll have to do something to get all the illegals a job. I guess that's what he means.
