What do you think of these adoption agency TV ads?

Should adoption agencies be allowed to solicit pregnant women in this way?

I think its wrong. They portray it as such a wonderful thing, they never show the aftermath of the woman who just severed the most important bond of her life. Women know that adoption exists and if they were desperate enough, they could turn that way. They don't need commercials in front of their face telling them that its a good idea to hand over their flesh and blood during pregnancy, that's a really stressful and overwhelming time for most women. My thought is this: if they can't show abortion commercials, they shouldn't show adoption commercials either.

  • Can you say desperate? I think the other poster is right. They shouldn't allow adoption commericals if they don't allow abortion clinics to advertise. You know how much harder it is to find an abortion clinic than an adoption agency.

They're adoption agency commercials that focus on young pregnant women who are apparently alone in their decision-making.

No I don't think it is wrong. They are just giving woman that don't know what to do an option. No one is making anyone get in touch with them.

What exactly is wrong with it. It lets women know they have options. Not everyone who considers adoption goes through with it there is nothing wrong with if you are not sure looking into other option
