Pregnancy test help please?

Alright I should have started my period on may 3rd/4th and nothing yet. I did have unprotected sex around my fertile phase. No signs of my period coming. Clear discharge. I'm always pretty regular given a day or two. I was starting to think i was and it was really weird bc my mom called me out of the blue asking if i was pregnant, stating mother's intuition. We never mention this topic together so it really freaked me out. I got a 3 pack of 1st response early results, took one test this evening at 6:00 and it was negative. I know i should wait til the morning but i'm so anxious. I'll retest tomorrow morning. I don't really have any symptoms of pregnancy but if it helps understand my body, my periods usually come with ease, i dont suffer much at all during my periods. i'm 25 years old and been with my boyfriend for 10 years so we'd be happy with OR without baby. I'm excited but extremely anxious......so i guess what i'm asking is: how many times did you test before getting a positive result and when did you test and how many days late were you? thank you ladies...

Update:

Babycakes - I actually drank a ton of water today bc i don't want to be dehydrated in case i AM pregnant. When i took the test earlier my urine was pretty clear....

I will retest tomorrow morning and if negative i will test again 1 week after the missed period which would be sunday.

I really appreciate everyone's input, thank you so much : )

The best time to take a pregnancy test is the morning because your urine is the most concentrated. And if you are pregnant your hcg levels will be highest. If you can't wait then test after you wait at least 3-4 hours so the hcg levels can build up in your urine also don't drink much cause it can dilute your urine making it hard to detect the hcg.I tested positive at 4 days late for my daughter and I tested in the evening.

Good luck and lots of baby dust.

I am in the exact same boat as you right now. My periods are 33 days ALWAYS. My husband and I have been trying since November 2008. Each month of the first few, I'd rush out and pick up a preg. test, only to get a BFN...devestating...yes, but we kept trying.

This month...AF should have been Tuesday morning (between 10am-12pm) and it's late...it's never been late.

I took 2 tests this morning, and both were negative. I think that the hcg hormone might not be that strong yet though. I did go to the dollar store tonight, and pick up 3 of their tests...I have friends who have used them, and they've worked fine.

All the best to you. and lots and lots of baby dust (to us both)

i was 7 days late when i got my first positive you should take it in the morning and if it comes back negative wait 5 more days before taking another and if that comes up negative and no period go to the doctors and get a blood test that will tell you for sure good luck

I was 11 days late the first time I tested. I tested in the morning, but not with my first urination of the day. I got a positive the first time I tested.

its available, some human beings dont locate out they are pregnant till a minimum of 6 weeks long previous that's generally while youre approximately 2 weeks previous due. retest in some days if its nonetheless damaging then flow on your scientific expert and get a blood attempt achieved.
