Is this racists, My white teacher told us this.?

it's funny cause that is actually what it is.

I think it's funny. It doesn't seem malicious but caucasians don't have a month to celebrate. Black history month is a remembrance of suffrage, also any race can celebrate because it reminds us all that everyone should be treated equally. Race doesn't determine who you are as a person.

P.s. I'm "white" and I don't feel the need to 'take over everything' or be racist! I wasn't raised that why and I too have been discriminated against because I look white. I'm Native American and my ancestor's have had their lives destroyed but I'm not STILL angry about it..I live in a different time with a different life. The past is just a reminder to treat people fairly. Everyone should get off their high horses and drop the race issue already. Even black people can be racist but at least I'm smart enough realize that not everyone is.

Its not racist the teacher pretty much implied that we only care about the black minority on February which isn't true. It is sarcasm about how whites are bigots or whatnot, again not true thats more insulting to white people as only a small percentage believe the other 11 months are about whites.

Yah its true that its the other 11 months, it doesnt bother me because its true.

Africans never discovered the ability to write written language down, so they have no recorded history so they dont got much to express but white history month is basicaly all year around,

Halloween, christmas, easter, Romans, Nord hordes, conquistadores , ancient greece, middle ages knights and princesses,

Etc etc can go on and ONNNN

It's not racist, it's true. Every month holds some significant even in European history. So there no need for a specific month towards white hisotry b/c they already have it.

The teacher was/is right. And many of the responses here reflect that fact that even this February observance is resented by many narrow-minded, hateful white history devotees. I don't think it's funny at all!

The dean and that i caught pink surpassed a school professor who grew to become into down grading the examination rankings of his non white pupils on a similar time as giving his white male pupils almost suitable rankings. How did we seize him? everybody interior the class grew to become into my pal, at the same time with the white adult males. We in comparison one yet another's exams. Our professor regarded and acted like the nicest guy interior the worldwide, ought to of even appeared like santa with a beard.

I think he was attempting to be facetious.

I remember a midget was doing stand up- he's like "Why should Black people get February, It's the shortest Month we should get it."
