IS there a way you can tell?

I'm sure some people - who also give stupid and offensive answers - spend the rest of their time giving thumbs-down to every answer they see.

Maybe too, make your Q&A private if you haven't. I wouldn't put it past some obnoxious types to look at your profile and thumb-down every answer you give.

Sometimes this may be something simple like people who disagree on say, abortion questions. Mostly though, it's just the same jerks you always find online.

The theory is that the decent participants should heavily outnumber the trolls. I guess we shall see.

Some days I think there is a thumb's down fairy following me everywhere I go on here. And I am in this section the most.

I find even really really good, honest answers are thumbed down by some bored troll who needs a hobby.

Granted some of my answers are sarcastic but there are only so many "Which one is the daddy" questions I can answer in day before I start to get sarcastic.

i was wondering that too. but i dont think there is any way to know who gives you the thumbs down. i hate when people give you a perfect answer to something you ask and other people give them the thumbs down even tho what they have said is perfect. i think some people just like giving the thumbs down for some unknown reason.

people that answer the questions,

people that want to get best answer and believe the person asking the question will pay true attention to that...

i dont know usually if i ask a question i go based on what i feel is a good answer and not what others believe is wrong.

I don't think so. I get that too. I think people (really bored, sad people) read one answer I have & disagree strongly, so they look at other answers I have & give it low ratings. I've had two answers deleted that weren't even offensive (at least no more offensive than other people's answers).
