Until this point they have made every move to keep expenses hidden. Now we know why.
As it's tax payers money, the tax payer has a right to know where it is going.
Yes, the repayments are an admission of guilt and after saying 'it's all within the rules' at last public opinion has forced repayment. I'll bet if there was no shadow of a general election in the offing they would have brazened it out.
To have the b****y cheek to ask the Met to find the leak is beyond belief. Who ever leaked the information deserves a medal - more honourable than the !!Honourable!! Members.
About time Gorbals Mick was sent back to Glasgow too.

Hopefully the public won't be suckered into voting for them again as a result on election day. As you say, it's an admission of guilt. It also looks bad that they can easily find tens of thousands of pounds to pay back. Where did it all come from?

This situation is nothing short of absolutely scandalous.
These pieces of sh1t should be prosecuted for theft and fraud. If an ordinary citizen commited these crimes they would be locked up so why not these lizards who are supposed to be running the country.
The excuse Jack Straw came out with was laughable - he said he hadn't realized he'd claimed all his council tax because he was busy - sorry Jack that's no excuse at all - go to jail you thief.

Obviously Brown,Cameron and Clegg have put their heads together on how to get out of the doo doo. It is all crocodile tears by a gang of rogues and charlatans. Seeing Blears brandishing her repayment cheque to HMR&C made me smile because will it ever be sent? These people are completely untrustworthy and have just proved it.

No, they NEVER do anything wrong.
Everything they do which we think is wrong is "a mistake" or "an oversight".
Can't help but wonder what would happen if I, by "mistake" or "oversight", forgot to pay my TV licence or walked out of a shop without paying for the goods I'd taken?

They should all be put on trial for their corruption and then either beheaded in public or put in prison and have their property confiscated to the state and their families thrown out onto the street.

Look in the real world.
Decode this lyrics " Better man"
"It's up to you"
If it's was blunders and slip-ups with human errors in time..
Since it was the " I "
And not "Me and my Father"
Should pass quality control with OK label.
And get back to work for the good of Mankind in time.
