a) no, an antigen is a foreign object that triggers the release of antibodies
b) no, white blood cells are in your blood, not your intestines.
c) no, white blood cells track down and kill bacteria, bacteria isnt all in your blood...so it MUST leave.
d) no a pathogen is an infection/disease
e) YES they eat (for lack of wording) pathogens and bacterium, and as they split off and die, the DNA of the pathogen is noted, so all further copies of the dead blood cell know what the pathogen actually is.

White blood cells can ingest pathogens.
They can't be pathogens or antigens, and they aren't enzymes so they don't participate in digestion. So the answer is e).

E is the answer - a form of white blood cells called macrophages can actually ingest pathogens.

Both red and white blood cells are equally important. Red blood cells carry oxygen. White blood cells fight foreign objects in the body.
