Is my Sony HDTV full 1080p?
I have a Sony KDF-60XS955. I have been looking around and cannot find out if it actually is a full 1080p or if its only 780. Any help? Anyone know for sure or where to look? Thanks

It is 720p.
Source(s): It is an older model not sold since 2005, and 1080p didn't exist then. it is actually a 1080i TV, but that is similar to a 720p TV. - Anonymous1 decade ago
"The screen features a wide, 16:9 aspect ratio to match the dimension of most movies and HDTV broadcasts, and the KDF-60XS955 offers compatibility with standard-definition 480i, enhanced-definition 480p, and high-definition 720p and 1080i signals."
It's 1080i, and that was listed on that site the 2nd guy provided. He was giving a size which has nothing to do with it is 1080i.

Check your owners manual or go online to Sony and look for the model to see the resolution rating. From the model I would say it is not a full high definition (1080P) but maybe a 1080I.
