If you were a multi-millionaire/billionaire, would you donate any money to your football club?
I just thought about clubs that are in administration, for example Stockport County, Southampton, Darlington etc. They need a generous fan to inject money into their clubs to be able to aim towards financial stability.
It makes me sad that football is becoming so capitalist by nature, and it is creating a bigger gap between the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool and the lower league teams.

in a heartbeat mate. Im a Southamtpon fan and it has been a long 8 weeks not knowing what is happening to my club. Deadline was yesterday, but luckily for us Saints, we have a fan in Leon Crouch, a local business man who has been propping up the players wages again. He has done this now for the past two months, we as a club have had Q&A sessions at the club with fans being asked to pay £20 to meet old and new players, we raised enough to pay wages last month, there is a concert this sunday with local bands, artful dodger etc, craig david is supposed to be doing a concert on his own to raise money. The southampton council may buy the stadium to help out any potential owner, and the only offer on the table at the moment is one by the pinnacle group headed by Matt (le god) Tissier, a true saint fan and ex player. Its gonna be hard, 3rd division football for us next season, plus -10 points so its not looking good, but if you are born there, raised there, you should support your team. I just wish I could feel the elation of premiership survival, or the joy of play off promotion, rather than the heartbreaking sadness of relegation, but to be a fan, you must be able to feel your teams pain too......(trouble is, we have been hurting for so long). Hopefully we will be entering a new era, with someone at the helm who truely supports my club, enough money to get us back to the championship and enough determination from the players to get us back to the premierhsip.....

Football clubs shouldn't rely on richer clubs to bail them out.
It's unfortunate that these clubs are going under while trying to balance the books but they have gotten themselves into these situations.
If anyone's to blame it's the FA for being uncaring.

Id give money to a few lower league sides in trouble like Luton...Arsenal dont really need money when it comes down to it coz when you have a 60,000 seater stadium your going to be making money...

No.
All clubs not only football should be self financing.
This can be either through ticket sales or sponsorship.

My club is a part of me.
For sure, if I were a rich man, I buy my club or help them out.
