HELP! My (ex Tom) cat keeps "spraying" all over the house. What can I do to stop this?
The cat was castrated when he was around one year old. As he gets older (he's now 13), he gets more "aggressive" with his spraying. I used to think it was because he was scared, ie saw another cat outside, was marking territory...BUT he specifically sprays MY stuff (photographs, books) seemingly when I'm not fast enough getting his food or letting him out (he has a clean cat box, plenty of fresh dry food & clean water) OR (especially) if I leave him inside for long periods of time (more than 4 hours). His sister does NONE of the above.
A cat door is out of the question (there are more than a dozen cats in the neighborhood; the house would be Grand Central Station!).
Is there anything I can spray to discourage his spraying?
Right now I'm putting them both outside when I have to be gone for most of the day.
This is the only (of many) cat(s) I have had to do this.

Take him to vet , and clean the floors real well if the other cats smell it they will spray too. You can get stuff to take out the urine. But usually if a cat is spraying more than usual it could mean he is sick. He may have a infection , or kidney problems, or etc... I have cats also and when my cat sprayed like that he had heart problems, and my other cat that I had do that he had a kidney infection. And talk to your vet he may have other solutions. When you get a kitten get him fixed just as soon as the vet will do it. Once they go in heat, it is second nature to them. females and males both if you get them before they start. You have less problems. Goodluck

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More� on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

and has he been checked out by the vet? What about keeping him and his sister totaly seperated for a day- it could still be territory? that has been known to happen

Well if you cut my balls off I would spray **** on your stuff too. I would shoot him.
