Clay Aiken's take on Kris-Adam showdown?
Clay Aiken blogged about Season 8 Kris/Adam showdown. It highly entertained me, and I for once, AGREE with Clay Aiken and everything he is saying. The article can be found here:

Your thoughts? Was Clay accurate, like I (for once) agree with? Disagree with Clay?
Total Adam Lambert bashing it seems, so much for the gays uniting.
Yes, Kelsey - I was being sarcastic. Apparently it wasn't as evident as intended.

Clay made some EXTREMELY VALID points. They pimped Adam more than ANY American Idol contestant in 8 season.
It was way too much. I hated hearing Simon put down all the others saying "Adam was better or he set the bar" he barely gave them their own critique other than saying "their no Adam"

I wouldn't call it Lambert bashing, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I think it would be a little tedious to say that just because they're both gay they should stand up for one another! Lol.
Personally the only thing I thought Aiken was wrong about was that Idol should be about finding a raw talent to win the show. It should be based on singing ability, talent and the ability to survive in the music industry.
Will Kris survive? I doubt it. But hopefully Adam will be able to make music that doesn't have the American Idol influence but pure rock edge instead.

He only saw one performance of Adam's and it happened to be "Ring of Fire" of all performances :p and he didn't even see any of Kris',so I'm not really sure what his opinion is based on. Who knows? Anyway, though,Adam didn't get any Gay support from Clay, but Jim Verraros from Season 1 has been very supportive since day one and I've read countless comments from him in magazines and such and he's never had anything but good things to say about him. But,Clay,I don't know. Maybe he's just bitter because he couldn't be as open as Adam is or because he got dropped from the label,or whatever. I used to like him, but now I just don't know.

While I agree with the gist of his argument, let me ask everyone this: True or False, the only way for Clay Aiken to remain in any way relevant is for him to make comments like this because nobody really cares about his music any more.
If that's true (nobody cares about his music), then he's saying this to keep his name in the news and to cause controversy at the expense of the show that made him 'famous'.
If that's false (people still listen to his music), then his comments are just a spiteful attempt to cause controversy at the expense of the show that made him famous.

I haven't seen the blog, but I don't think just because 2 people are gay that it automatically means they like/support each other.
