first you need to find the manual - HP media center pc m7640n technical specifications --scroll till you find the size of your powersupply measurements and buy one that way or you could

find out what size your chassis is--- full size tower,

mid tower, mini tower, sff small form factor chassis

this will tell you the size of the powersupply you need too.

then you need to know if it a 20 molex or 24 pin with a break away

and does it require and atx plug.

the amount of wattage is specifically for how much power you need for what you want to do with your computer..Gaming..basic school stuff, graphic designing ....and such..and no you'll not need to drill holes unless your going with something built for gameing ...some powersupplies and cooling units come custom built.

no..it will be a piece of cake...most likely a 24 pin power supply rated around 450 or higher should be nicely....it's just a few screws to replace...cheers
