Engine swap for 94 Acura Integra?

To your original question yes it will fit, it will fit as if it was the same motor. The integra's all came with a B-series motor so any year integra would be fine. The Motor mounts WILL already fit! As for the switching to OBD1 that is correct. Just switch the injectors, distributor, I think the alternator but not 100% sure of that. Depending on what model integra you bought then you might not need to wire vtec, but I am assuming you have an LS (B18B) or a non vtec model then you probably will have to get your car rewired for vtec (which really isn't as much as it sounds) and find an ECU that is programmed for on OBD1 vtec setup. I would try to find a P28 ECU, this ECU came out of a 92-95 civic EX. It is the most common for people to use before a tune. I guess another way around that is that you can get a basemap put in on your stock ecu, but realistically this will not give you the full potential of your motor. It will just run as fast as the factory set it, and lets face it that type R will have plenty more potential when tuned on a Dyno.

B20's answer is dead on but I'd like to add that the '92-95 Civic Si has the same VTEC engine as the '93-95 Civic EX so you can even use an ECU from that model. Also, a 1992-1993 Integra GSR is another option for an ECU.

Yes you can, but you need to convert your car to OBDII or get an OBDI Converter, because the 96-01 integra engines are OBDII. They say OBD I is much easier to mod. Just get hasport motor mounts

It would cost less to sell your car and buy one with a manual transmission. The ONLY way that wouldn't be true is if you did the swap yourself. It isn't just a matter of swapping the entire engine and transaxle, you need to put in all the clutch hydraulics, and the clutch pedal as well. It is not a simple job.

yes you can....just got to convert it to obd 1...and run a chiped ecu or a gsr ecu....or use a obd1 to obd2 harness adaptor and distributer adaptor...also need to route a vtec wire....

yeah its pretty commone. youll either have to convert to OBD1 or a conversion harness. youll also need a wire for VTEC
