What colour is your province?

Question

I am building a patchwork quilt of a map of Canada and I am trying to think of which colours or prints will best represent each province and I am open to suggestions (anything but blue).  Any colour or print including a reason why you think of that colour.

Why not try to use the official colours for the Provinces from their flag or the Provincial tartans if you can?

For Saskatchewan, green & yellow.  The top of the Saskatchewan flag is green, to represent the forest areas in the north - and the bottom is yellow, to represent the grain fields in the south.

Forest green. That is what our province contains the most of - trees. BC's west coast is considered a 'tropical rainforest' because of its mild climate all year round, the amount of rainfall every year, the numerous lakes and rivers, lush beautiful coniferous trees and bushes and the millions of evergreens.

Newfoundland is pretty much all rock, so brown or gray. Labrador is part of the Canadian Shield, so do Newfoundland and Labrador in gray or brown. Sounds like a nice project!

Red for Manitoba - the Manitoba flag is mostly red. Or yellow for all of our farm fields.
