My friends all confronted me at lunch today, they seem to think that I'm anorexic. What are the symptoms?

It is not true that all people with eating disorders know that they have eating disorders. The major signs are obsession with calories or food, rapid weight loss (in anorexia), odd food habits and rituals, fear of weight gain, bad body image, constant need to lose weight, physical symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, etc, refusal to maintain normal weight, making excuses to avoid eating, or avoiding situations in which food is involved, using food to deal with emotions (i.e. controlling food consumption to feel in control of other situations).

I hope this helped, and if you're interested in other signs/symptoms or want more information, this website is very helpful: http://www.something-fishy.org/

Basically an anorexic loses an obvious amount of weight, you can see their bones clearly. Anorexic eat very little unlike bulimics or binge and purge. I hope you are not anorexic and if you are that you get some help. It is very unhealthy and causes numerous health problems.

You would know if you had this eating disorder. Extreme weight loss is one of the symptoms.
