Need help ASAP on explaining Catholicism to an Agnostic?

Update:

the question was deleted so i answer it here:

Jesus founded only one church making Peter the first pope leader giving Catholic priests the power to change bread and wine into Jesus Christ himself in person simply by saying his words effecting it. All the other churches are human inventions.

A new priest here said, Our Catholic faith is the only religion on earth where God comes to us directly anytime we like; in his holy sacraments.

Yeah, every theistic religion says the same.

Ugh!!! Jesus did not found the Church or Catholicism

He died and had risen. The Church was founded by his followers.

"A new priest here said, Our Catholic faith is the only religion on earth where God comes to us directly anytime we like; in his holy sacraments"

That is an interesting way to express the importance of the sacraments.

We may connect to God BUT.... He is not at our Beck and Call!

Evangelisation is most effective if you have a good relationship with someone, so I hope you do have that. Actually I think you would need to help them come to belief in God first. Go back to the basics & appeal to their power of reason - as in how do they explain our existence, where did the matter for the big Bang come from, the wonder of creation etc. If you come to a common ground there, then perhaps move onto the basics of Christianity as the Catholic faith can be complex until it's understood. I think it's very important to be gentle & not put it across as being "superior" to anything else. We need to recognise there are elements of truth in other religions etc, but the Catholic Church simply believes it is the full expression of what God has revealed. If the time is right, then perhaps lend them a copy of the catechism & let them explore the faith for themselves, & just be there to answer questions for them. Oh, & pray for them too hey.

The priest is 100% correct.Just give this person the book Catechism of the Catholic Church or Catechism for Dummies. You know there are people you just cannot make them understand. They have to find out on their own so to speak.

You need to be more objective. The Catholic church became a religious order in the late 3rd - early 4th century AD. The "church" became popular after adopting the customs of the locals. Please do your research either online or at the library. Only by being open minded will you get serious feed back or responses.

    I like that last answer.

You're not gonna convert an Agnostic to anything resembling Catholicism. Trust me.

You could scream at a brick wall for a few minutes.

It might be more fun, and slightly more effective.
